Prayer Groups

Some of the groups below may not be taking place at the moment due to Covid. Please check the Calendar or Grapevine.

• There is a time of Silent Prayer at 10am on the first Thursday of each month.  This takes place in the North Chapel and starts with a short reading and stilling exercise, followed by 20 minutes of silence and concluding with the Lord’s Prayer. 
   
• The Julian Group. This group meets at 7pm on every second Tuesday of the month for a short reading from Julian of Norwich’s ‘Enfolded in Love’ and half an hour’s silent meditation/contemplation followed by discussion.

• Services of Corporate Prayer.  Morning Prayer is held in the North Chapel on Wednesday mornings at 8am, and Evening Prayer is held each Tuesday on Zoom at 5pm.  Login details in weekly email bulletin.
   
• There are a number of prayer ‘triplets’ – groups of three people who meet together for prayer at their own convenience to pray in whichever way is most helpful to them.

Home Groups

There are several small groups at St Mary’s that meet to study the Bible and to pray together through the year.  We also hold regular courses for Lent and Advent .  More information can be found on our Home Groups page.
 

Courses and Events

We run lots of courses and events that will help you to grow in your faith and provide valuable input into your life as well as putting on events with the aim of having fun together and blessing those in our local community.
