Services in Church and Online

19th July 2021. Now that government restrictions have been lifted, it is no longer necessary to pre-book to attend services at St Mary’s.

We want you to continue to feel safe so we are keeping some measures in place for everyone’s benefit.

We will request Track and Trace details when you arrive and we encourage you to wear a face covering whilst in the church building, particularly when singing.

Communion will continue, until further notice, to be in one kind - the consecrated bread - and not the common cup.

Hand sanitiser will be available and we will ensure that anyone wishing to maintain social distancing will be able to do so.

St Mary’s, SW will stop Zooming Sunday services from the beginning of August as there is now very little demand but we will aim to livestream one service each Sunday on YouTube as at present and most sermons will continue to be recorded and available of this website here

Wednesday 9.30am Holy Communion which has been on Zoom will now take place in the South Chapel of  St Mary’s Saffron Walden.

From September, Evening Prayer will be in the North chapel SW every first Tuesday of the month and on Zoom for the rest of the month.

We are feeling our way in this and will gradually remove other restrictions in due course as we feel safe to do so.

This page mainly provides greater detail about services in the coming week.  For information about future services please visit our Calendar page.

Give a Little QROnline Giving.

We are very grateful to those who have continued to support our church’s running costs during the pandemic with their standing orders. However, we are aware that others who would normally contribute to the collections made during services have been unable to do so.  You can now use your credit or debit card to donate money directly to our church using our secure online giving provider ”Give a Little” by clicking on this link. And you can even gift aid it. Any contributions will be most appreciated. Thank you.
