Course in Christian Studies 2027

Diocese of Chelmsford Course in Christian Studies open for 2027 registration.

2027 marks the 40th Anniversary of the Course in Christian Studies (CCS). During that time, over 3000 students have completed the course, and it continues to be a significant point in the journey of Christian discipleship for many individuals across Essex and East London.

Students study CCS on a two-year part-time basis at centres across the Diocese. The first year embraces Foundations in Theology and the second year Foundations in Ministry. The aim of the course is to deepen each student’s faith through studying the Bible, Church traditions and Doctrine as well as exposing students to a variety of ministries to aid them to better discern where it might be that God is calling them to serve His people in churches, worshipping communities, schools and workplaces.

The CCS course begins each January and there are opportunities to take part online on Zoom.
