Hellier Strings is the East of England’s premier string chamber orchestra, a group of professional players from across the region, performing concerts to raise funds for local good causes. The ensemble often performs in partnership with local choirs, the addition of choral music alongside the string sinfonia bringing a dimension of colour, texture, and expression to enrich the musical experience. For this Gala Concert Hellier Strings will be joined by Granta Chorale, a versatile and accomplished local chamber choir with a wide and varied repertoire.

This concert will be raising funds in aid of Uttlesford Foodbank, a charity well known in Saffron Walden and the surrounding area. There will be refreshments for sale during the interval.
