We will hold our ‘Christmas Fayre’ on Saturday 25th November from 10am to 2pm, in traditional theme based upon the Charles Dickens era and works.
Request for Produce & Volunteers
Please keep an eye on the Notice Boards in the Church towards the end of October, where you will find lists requesting the commitment of Volunteers and Helpers on both Fri. 24th Nov (“Set-up Day”) and also of course the big day itself, Sat. 25th Nov!
Notwithstanding the excellent top prizes provided in the Grand Draw, there is a request for donations of good quality supplementary prizes for “Runners-Up”, eg Bottle of Champagne perhaps?
Again, greatly appreciated would be any donations of proprietary wines for the meals and refreshments which will be on sale in the Parish Rooms, and also donations of similar red wines for the “Mince Pies and Mulled Wine” counter, to keep the tradition going!
If you can provide anything which you feel to be useful to any Stallholder listed on the ‘Stall & Volunteer List , please contact them directly on the telephone numbers shown on the Church Notice Boards, and of course please append your name to volunteer to help where indicated.
Unfortunately the Church is unable to store goods for ‘the Fayre’ on its premises until the Friday immediately beforehand. If you can donate, please contact the Stallholder directly on the list, but please be prepared to retain your kind donation until Fri. 24th Nov.
Finally, on that notice board you will also find some suggestions of how you might like to dress-up to make Charles Dickens proud, and how you can obtain costumes if you so wish!
A lot of folk have already volunteered to take on the onerous management of a Stall at our Christmas Fayre. Let us all commit to help them and show we appreciate their effort!
Please keep a lookout on the Notice Boards at the end of October!
